At HORIZON ELEMENTARY, chronic absenteeism has risen 77% over the 5-year window — from 20.4% in 2015 to 36.2% in 2020. Despite that, the gap vs US average of ~28% has actually widened — from 7.6% above in 2015 to 8.2% above in 2020.
